Water Works

The City of Lucas receives water from the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) at each pump station which fills the ground storage tanks. Water is then pumped from the ground storage facilities via the city's pumps throughout the system, thereby filling the elevated storage in the water towers. NTMWD bills the city monthly based on the amount of water pumped through the NTMWD meters located at each pump station.

The system is monitored electronically, cycling the pumps on a programmed schedule as water usage fluctuates throughout the day.
