Mission

The mission of the Building Inspections Department is to ensure the health safety and welfare of the general public by enforcing building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical code regulations within the City.

Permits ensure the proposed construction meets zoning as well as adopted building codes. When construction has begun, it is your responsibility to schedule needed inspections as indicated by the Building Inspection Department. Permits and inspections help ensure safe construction with sound materials. Applications must be made and permits issued prior to beginning work.
