Founders Day – 2024
This year, the City of Lucas is holding its annual Founders Day Country Fair on Saturday, April 13, 2024! The event will be held from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Lucas Community Park (665 Country Club Road).
While there will be no Founders Day Parade, the Country Fair will feature carnival games, stick horse rodeo, petting zoo, face painting, balloon artists and the presentation of the annual Service Tree awards! The Country Fair is free to the public. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase from various food vendors and hot dogs will be given out. PUBLIC PARKING WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT LUCAS COMMUNITY PARK ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.
ALL PUBLIC PARKING AND SHUTTLE SERVICES WILL BE AT HART ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (450 Country Club Road) AND LOVEJOY HIGH SCHOOL (2350 Estates Parkway). Shuttle buses will pick visitors up at those locations and transport them to the event. Shuttles will begin at 8:30 am. Last call for shuttles at City Hall will be at 2:30 pm.
There will also be volunteer opportunities for students at the Stick Horse Rodeo. Interested students can fill out a form online at www.lucastexas.us/volunteer-registration-form. We hope to see you there!
