Celebrate Sustainability at the 2025 Lucas Arbor Day & Recycling Event!
Mark your calendars! The City of Lucas Arbor Day and Recycling Event is set for Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lucas City Hall (665 Country Club Road, Lucas, Texas).
This annual event is all about giving back to nature and making our community greener and cleaner. Whether you want to plant a tree, recycle old electronics, or securely shred important documents, this event has something for everyone!
Why Celebrate Arbor Day? 🌱
Texas Arbor Day is more than just a day to plant trees—it’s a movement to promote environmental conservation and sustainability. The City of Lucas is proud to support this effort through the Keep Lucas Beautiful program, ensuring a healthy ecosystem for future generations.
At this year’s event, we’re partnering with the Legacy 4-H Club to give away free tree saplings—a perfect way to bring a little more green to your own backyard!
Recycle & Reduce Waste! ♻️
We’re also making it easy to dispose of unwanted electronics and paper products in an eco-friendly way!
🚗 Drive-Through Recycling Drop-Off – Simply pull up and drop off your items! Green Glove Technology Recycling and Shred-It Paper Recycling will be on-site to take care of your recycling needs.
Accepted Electronics & Fees
While many items can be dropped off for free, some electronics require a small disposal fee:
💻 Televisions – $20
🖥️ CRT Monitors – $10
💾 Computer Hard Drives – $10
Other Recyclable Items (Free Drop-Off)

✅ Cell Phones & Chargers
✅ Christmas Lights
✅ Small Kitchen Appliances (Microwaves, Toasters, etc.)
Paper Shredding 📄
Bring your old softcover and hardcover books, magazines, and other paper products for secure shredding. Please note: Newspapers will NOT be accepted.
