In a proactive move to address two failing culverts on Lewis Lane, the Public Works department has announced the closure of Lewis Lane from July 15, 2024, to July 21, 2024. This road closure is essential for the safety of motorists and to facilitate the replacement work efficiently.
To notify the public about this closure, two message board signs have been placed by Public Works. One sign greets drivers as they enter Lewis Lane from West Lucas Road, while the other stands northbound on Lewis Lane just after the city limit sign and right before the section with the failing culverts. During this period, Lewis Lane will be completely inaccessible to traffic. It is recommended that commuters plan alternative routes and allow for extra travel time to accommodate this temporary inconvenience.
