Guess what rose with the sun this morning? If you guessed the West Lucas Water Tower Tank…you were right!
This new 750,000 gallon tank is an important capital project that will better position the City to provide water to our residents. As any long term Lucas resident knows, the City of Lucas water tower located on West Lucas Road has come a long way in just seven short years. In March 2017, the previous water tower was removed from the location. City Council and staff have since worked on strategic ways to meet water needs for the future.
Amongst much planning, the designs for the new water tower were passed and funded by City Council in October 2023, with progress well underway. While not functional yet, the tower bowl installation marks one step closer to supplying high quality water to our residents for years to come!
